Our next session of the DC Threads Sewing Lounge is right around the corner! Join us on Saturday, March 14 from 1:00-4:00pm at the North Michigan Park Recreation Center for a great afternoon with other threaded enthusiasts in the Washington, DC area.
This month, we’ll start off with a sew-n-tell session, so bring projects you’ve been working on to collect your oooos and aahhs from fellow sewists who can appreciate all your hard work. We’ll also have a brief educational session on different types of needles and thread, and what a big difference these can have on your sewing success.
As always, we’ll have tutorials available for first-time sewers, easy and fun guided projects for those looking for ideas, and plenty of opportunities for you to bounce ideas of others in the threaded community. Please be sure to bring your own fabric and any special notions. We’ll also have patterns available for two new great projects: a summer shirt and drawstring skirt.
